MISSING ART

A short history first:

From the year 1984 my artworks have been exhibited in some art galleries in California. In the early 90’s I wasn’t able to visit USA, first because of the situation in my country and later because of personal reasons. During that period three persons, who were taking care of my art, mysteriously vanished together with my paintings and illustrations. I tried everything that I could think of to find them but without any success.

And now the details:

The first painting (acrylic on canvas - 72x80 inches) was last seen in the Schwartz Cierlak Gallery, 3015 Main St. Santa Monica. The last that I heard from Mr. Cierlak was in 1992 when he wrote me a letter, asking for more paintings like this one but smaller. The gallery has been out of business for some time now.

The illustrations were at a charming bookstore "The Land of Counterpane", 3610 Sacramento St. and 139 Kearny St. San Francisco. The shops aren’t there anymore and Mrs. Stephanie Hardgrave vanished without a word of goodbye, somewhere into Marin County.

I left the watercolors at the Hutchins Gallery in Cambria. Owner of the gallery Mrs. Maggi Hutchins lived in Los Osos at the time. I haven’t heard from her since 1989.
She is probably living in San Luis Obispo or San Ysidro, but I can’t get in touch with her.
