Today's Picture of the Day of Maple Shade's old train station building is dedicated to Angel, one of my favorite dogs. Angel, who lived in Maple Shade, passed away yesterday and my brother-in-law's family is feeling the loss. Like the rest of us dog lovers, they appreciated the joy, loyalty and laughter that a dog could bring to a household. The void that Chris, Maureen & the girls feel now is a testament to Angel's personality. They should be proud that they opened up their hearts and home years ago to a Bassett Hound that really needed it. I know firsthand how devastating the loss of a dear pet can be to a family. For months afterward you catch yourself expecting the dog to greet you at the door or be ready to mooch from you at the dinner table. Time will help diminish the pain of loss and memories will help you smile through the tears. Farewell Angel. I'm glad I knew you.
