Germany 2008

This gallery contains images from our second father & son excursion to Europe. We had such a good time in Amsterdam in 2007, we decided to visit Frankfurt & Berlin in 2008 (with a stop at Buchenwald along the way). The timing of the trip was determined by the spring break week off for my son, Wayne, who is a college professor. We are both history buffs and share a love of zoos & museums. We also enjoy people watching and spotting the distinct differences between American and European urban cultures. Germany gave us many, many examples to consider and discuss. It was a great trip filled with train rides, an upside down hotel room, historical sights & sites and 10,000 air miles.

These are great pictures, Rick. Brings back many great memories for me, though pictures of Germany also have a way of evoking a more burdensome past as well. The shot at the Frankfurt train station (ohne Leute!) is spectacular.
