A 18"-30" pubescent perennial with small (1/2") pale
blue flowers in a forked inflorescence well above the
large basal leaves (elliptic-oblong). The few upper
leaves are more sessile and clasping the stem. Found
in bloom in Middle TN in upland woods from May-June.
