Home Snow '08

Home

One would have thought if they had been visiting Nashville over
the weekend that we were in the grips of a great blizzard. It
was a good snow but... in keeping with the great hype of middle
Tennessee weather and our innate ability to blow winter weather
way out of proportion, this was well over-covered as the "Winter
Storm '08". Talk of the danger of driving and the pending "black
ice" upon refreeze was still going on as the sun came out around
11 AM quickly thawing the beautiful white blanket and not only
melting the streets, but drying them pretty well too ;-)

I always told you--never listen to weather forecasters. But, Ellie enjoyed it.
This is a peaceful scene, not even a branch stirring.

you have captured the wintry feel for sure... don't you love the Southern Snow panic? ;)

The weather forecasters have gotten caught up with the rest of the media over hype. We get that a lot in Oklahoma. ;-) Beautiful picture, Scott.

That looks so beautiful. The simple and stark gray on gray is just lovely. I have never seen snow like that.

I think I could enjoy Nashville weather. Far cry from the "lake effect" snow I used to endure on the east side of Cleveland!

Sounds like Nashville and Dallas weather forcasters went to the same school...

Funny, our forecasters do the same... but they were right about the 80mph wind today :~O
Snow makes everything look sooo pretty!
