Macro Moon

December 2

Home

I was looking for something to shoot late today. I turned
with the macro and saw this through the trees. I don't
think I've ever shot the moon with the macro lens.

Canon EOS 30D ,Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro
1/800s f/2.8 at 100.0mm iso400 full exif

Oh wow! Truly amazing macro shot! Beautiful moon clairty and framing. The soft branches in the foreground gave a really nice mystic mood. Love it and voted!

Super shot, like JD I'm puzzled.

Excellent clarity on the moon. How did you get that much light at 1/800s??? Nice image anyway.

It turned out very well. I especially like the way the branches frame this shot Scott.

Very well done. The moon looks 3D. In southwestern Louisiana the Cajuns call this "the full cold moon". There are lots of people out on Bayou Teche tonight with bottles of wine in their boats enjoying this moon.

Wonderful work. Voted.
R. Walls03-Dec-2006 03:43

Sf course the 100mm is great lens for straight shoots. It has great glass and it's fast. A lot of mood in this shot.
