This woodland patch along Highway 70 in Nashville is always one of the first
Narcissus patches to bloom. I watch these in anticipation of spring each
year. This patch popped up through a deer skeleton from this past year.

In Greek Mythology, Narcissus was a beautiful youth who pines away for love
of his own reflection in a spring and is tranformed into the Narcissus
plant. These happen to habitate a spring fed stream bank :)
