Break in the Storm

January 4

Home

Weird 75 degree January weather... it was one of those afternoons. I had
just finished washing and drying my truck. The black clouds rolled in and
washed away my efforts. It lasted about 15 minutes and then we got one of
those brilliant low angle sunny opennings in the black clouds with
everything drenched from the rain.

NOTE: It was moody light at its best. I decided to tweak it a little
with the Sponge Tool (set to desaturate @ 67%) and some selective Dodging
and Burning.

Beautiful composition, love the strong tree trunk forming a frame at one side and the darker background guiding us into the depths.--Rene

nice light and texture, Scott. The trees in the B/G add nice depth to the image.

If I thought it would bring on the rain I would wash my truck right this minute. Extreme drought, heat, and danger of fire here at the momenet. But, this is a beautiful treatment of a well composed image. So many textures.

That's a nice shot, getting there a bit hi-tech for me.

Invariably seems to happen to me as well, get the car showroom new, and then comes the rain! Beautifully composed image and you've done splendid work with the treatment!

Interesting treatment and composition here. I really like the differing textures in the grass, trunk to the right, and the background - kind of looks like a painting or a polaroid transfer.

Lovely image and well worked, shame about the road though, it keeps throwing me.
