Curiosity

December 7

Kingston Springs, TN

I have watched this old log barn off in the woods as I have
driven to and from the office for several years. The
morning light was shielded by the woods and late afternoon
was on the back side. I happened by after lunch yesterday
and for once, the angle seemed just right. My curiosity
finally got the best of me.

Wonderful B/W pics. Yes, I took some similar photos of an old broken-down barn last year in the Southern Kentucky mountains, but they arent' this good.

Both are nice shots.
I like the full view, it makes me wonder what the barn was like when it was new.

Scott: Nice shots! That old weathered barnwood is worth bucks for making western furniture! Get your truck out there and throw a chain around it!

Wonderful close up and a bit back.. I'm surprised it took you so long..LOL
At least 6 buildings have been razed, torn down, fallen apart, or burned to the ground in the past year.. buildings I took decay pics of. I must be the kiss of death - so to speak :D

I love OLD, decaying buildings - the worn wood creates such great textures and lines. Super shot, Scott!
