Bare Trees

November 14

Home

It is amazing how beautiful the fall color was this year. The
fall drought really accentuated the color display. On the
downside it also made the leaf connection weak. All of the
splender was pretty well gone overnight at home.

NOTE: I experimented with some extreme sharpening in the
conversion after seeing some of the effects Steve H. was
getting in his images. It really helped to push the wet
surface over the edge.

From this same view off of my porch a few weeks back...

Nice image and the water drops really add to its power.
Things aren't as bleak here yet. My oaks still have too many leaves to start picking up them up yet.

very dramatic! I like the way the branches seem to be reaching out, to lead us into the woods.

I do like that strong contrast. A very wintry look!

What a difference a few days has made with the trees , althought the leaf fall was spectacular in some areas of town...The Bradley pear trees are still holding up fairly well with brilliant reds this year ... TFS !

Thought it was ice at first!

Great shot, sharp, well composed!

We see so much more of this side of trees than the side with leaves. But you learn to enjoy both for different reasons. This is nice and a familiar sight : )

Uh oh, better get the coat out! Nice shot!

But now to the real beauty of trees, nice comp!

Nice compo, chilling effect. Sorry to hear you lost your leaves overnight, but you seem to handle it well ;) Kind regards, Marc.

A very stark, very wintery image. I like the drops of water too.

Winter can be a good season for photo's, a sprinkling of snow and a touch of frost brings a whole new landscape. This image can be the beginning, nice one.

One of those days when a crackling fire, hot chocolate & a large window helps...beautiful but wintery :>)
grafix7214-Nov-2005 20:39
Love the starkness of the B&W conversion....gives you that cold "Winter is coming" feel

Sharp as a tack. We still don't have fall color.

Sharpening works well.
