Aster

Kingston Springs, TN

A little lazy start granted me an opportunity to stop
at a place between my home and church with the light
just starting to break through the forest onto this
Aster linariifolius (Stiff-Leaf Aster).

Just a small ray of light was touching this bloom as
I got out of my truck. Not time for a tripod.

Nice, very, very nice. Have you noticed the wild asters seem very healthy this year? Maybe it's a tradeoff for what could be a poorer than normal autumn in TN.
