Lunch

August 15

Two days of insects :) The next day should be more coastal. I'm hoping to get the laptop adjusted a little better. Sorry if the quality is down. I'm flying a little blind trusting my instincts.
Color version for comparison:

Cool shot Scott! Pics look great to me too, but I had problems
using my laptop on vacation it screwed up my contrast all the time.

Hey Scott! I hate spiders and anything creepy and crawley. However, I can handle a photograph...very well done. The b&w has a very nice effect.

I think your instincts have guided you well as I see no quality issues in either image. :) Looks as though I'm in the minority, but I find the b&w more appealing. Mainly, I think, b/c it's not something I'm accustomed to seeing in b&w. And with this treatment, the lighting seems to be concentrated on the spider, thereby bringing more focus to it, which I like. However, both are excellent...great detail and DoF regardless of presentation.

Nice shot. I think I like the color one better, which I didn't think was going to be the case. They are both very good.
