Macro Pano

June 19

Pegram, TN

Motivated by the work of George Lepp (The Lepp Institute, Outdoor Photographer, etc), I decided to experiment with some macro panoramic images. The light was a little harsh and the breeze made the task challenging. It was still a fun experiment creating a realitively huge merged file from three images.

Processed in PS CS using Photomerge under File > Automate > Photomerge. Cropped down to 4" by 14" @ 300 dpi then adjusted for brightness and contrast (15,8). Image size reduced to 600 on the short side for uploading.

A look at this in 'original' and WOW! Excellent work here, Scott, and a fascinating idea. I can imagine what a challenge it must have been, but you've carried it through very well.

That's the great thing with panos. An 8 megapix camera turns out a 50 megapix image.
Great macro macro...

Wow, very, very nice! Beautiful sharp macro shots and nice composition. Excellent PS work, merging the three images....looking at it in it's original size I can't begin to see where you stitched them together.
