Roadside in Pegram, TN

Daucus carota (Queen Anne's Lace) is a biennial introduced to the US from Europe. It can be found throughout most of the US. The showy 3"-5" umbel with white flowers (all but the one central purple flower) can be found on roadsides, dry fields and waste spaces. They usually grow to 4' or 5' with a stout taproot which is sweet in flavor. The cultivated carrot was derived from this species.

One of my favorite wild flowers! Didn't realize it was introduced into the US though.
How interesting!

Ah yes, good to see the road as a background. After all these are roadside plants. Definite colour interest and good to see they have their lights on. I like the way the plant on the left goes with the direction of the speeding bike.

I like the way it looks like the one on the left is being blown by the passing motorcycle.

Great capture, I like the bike motion in the background. Not your usual flower shot.

Lovely Queen Anne's Lace. I am happy the road department hasn't cut your roadside--we get to see all the beautiful flowers.

Nice composition, made more interesting by the action in the background. Definitely gives the context that this is a roadside shot.
