April 23
The perennial Wild Flax is related to common Flax (Linum usitatissimum) from which linen is made. It grows in sunny dry spaces in Tennessee. This image is the result of a 45 minute sitting waiting on light and a still moment in the wind and rain. It is a wispy perennial that dances in the lightest breezes. The blue color glows like neon in the soft greens of spring.
