Aquilegia canadensis

Wild Columbine can be found gracing the thin soil and cracks in the stone bluffs around the Highland Rim. It is a rhizomaceous perennial growing 12"-48" tall with five red sepals and 5 yellow petals on the nodding blooms at the ends of the branches. It usually grows in dry locations.
