On the Road

A little experimentation with IR in portraiture. Not
really sure but I know there is something to figure
out on consistency. I know what to look for in nature
but this is "feeling my way around in the unseen".

Wonderful treatment and those eyes are exceptional.

I think I'd prefer b/w also. Either way, what a beauty!~

Beautiful eyes, it looks kind of high key with the IR!

Guess I only see Ellie as a soft little girl...the IR is a bit harsh on her for me...sorry :)

Sorry, I don't like it, Scott. It reminds me of the old movie, Children of the Damned.

IR for portraits is hard. Like you, I know how to handle myself in parks & around rivers... but, I haven't really managed the people ones very well. Congrats!

this is one of the reasons I follow and enjoy your photography..you experiment and that's how we learn and improve :)

I like it. Makes her eyes pop but truthfully, I think I would like a regular B&W image better.
Coleen Perilloux Landry10-Mar-2010 00:39
Not too sure I like her looking like a porcelain doll.

excellent work ! V~!

Definitely an interesting look, I like it, it doesn't have that "too much treatment" look. Of course having a way too cute subject skews the unbiased testing!
:O)

Great portrait with this expression.
I'm enjoying your IR shots Scott.

Wow, not sure I like the IR effect on a portrait. The eyes have a lot of punch but the skin tone doesn't seem to go with it.

Well caught.
