Rainbow Lorikeet I

Nashville Zoo (Nashville, TN)

Rainbow Lorikeet (Trichoglossus haematodus) is a native of
Australia, New Guinea, Indonesia and its surrounding islands
that is found primarily in lowland forested regions but also
in mountainous areas. Will colonize man-made habitats such
as orchards, coconut plantation, and suburban gardens; pre-
fers edges or clearings rather than interiors of closed
rainforests.

Love the little fellows.
Myself, I have a fisher's lovebird
They are very interesting to watch, have a strong personality and really show affection to their human friends.
P.S. They can indeed byte when nervous, luckily, never wanting to really harm us

They are beautiful to look at but are a huge pest here in Western Australia.
