Haemorrhagia axillaris
Snowberry Clearwing Moth

Home

This is the summer form of this one of the day flying
Sphinx Moths that are collectively known as Hummingbird
Moths. I say the summer form because this particular
species is trimorphic (there are three color forms).

I have been recently inspired by Michael S. and his Super Macro gallery.

Also added from my Macro Expedition...

One more to come later as my PaD in Michael's close up style.
