Euptoieta claudia
Variegated Fritillary
July 19

Office

The Variegated Fritillary is common to our area and
an inhabitant of the pastures and meadows. Cater-
pillars of this species feed on the broadest range
of plants than just about any other butterfly. Most
Fritillaries feed on Violets and Passionflower which
these also do and these are abundant in Middle TN.
