Daniel Greer Fallen Hero

A collection of images from the procession of fallen hero Daniel Greer coming into Pegram for three days of memorial and visitation at Pegram Church of Christ. Daniel, 25, who deployed in January, was in an accident with an improvised explosive device on Friday morning 6 August in Afghanistan while serving as a Marine. Daniel was a man of service not only to his country but to his community starting out as a Pegram Volunteer Fireman and employed as a Fireman for the Ashland City Fire Department.

He is a hero and I thank him for his service. He and all the others who have given their lives are the reason we are free.

We have had several of our young men come home this way in the past few months...never easy to reconcile with.
