Bela Fleck

Bela just may be one of the most diverse musicians around today. He has been nominated for 20 some odd Grammies and taken home 8. He has won more grammies in a broad range of genres than any musician today. We are blessed in Nashville to see him in almost every metamorphosis as he evolves as a musician.

Wow! Not sure how I missed this. Every DMB fan knows Bela. He and the Flecktones opened for Dave the very first time I saw them here in Dallas at the Starplex and then during Dave's set Bela and his band sat in for a 25 minute version of "Two Step" where they all got solos including a long banjo solo by Bela. First time I ever heard them but I have been a fan ever since. It is a shame his work is known and appreciated by more folks.
