Happy Mother's Day

For the first time we have a Black-capped Chickadee pair using one of the bluebird houses. This proud momma is expecting six little ones! The nest is so cute with all the moss, and I think I see some Kodi and Callie fur in it.

The chickadees are welcome to remove fur from our house anytime they like.

How wonderful you get to watch the progression so close. They must like you to have chosen your nesting place!

wow that is a great news! some peoples use the dryer foam in the filter and put it in a dry place for the birds, some use it

How nice to have a new family on the way, and that does look like dog hair in the nest.

How very cool!!! I wouldn't be surprised if it is dog fur; I've found all sorts of things in chickadee and other bird nests, even plastic twine, polyester stuffing from a pillow or jacket, string, etc. VV
