Oh, with the current carb springs - you need another one of the support bearings somehow mounted in the middle of the shaft. I wouldn't do that - I'd work on massively reducing the throttle plate spring torsion.
No, I have not. Thousands of other projects. The slant 6 really needs an electric fuel pump as the fuel boils out of the single quad now on shutdown. This system would be better There is still one problem with the linkage - even those thick aluminum tabs I made flex and near idle the carbs still don't sync 100%. I would JB weld the aluminum support fingers to a spacer and to the manifold ideally, or figure out a good methodology of reducing the carb throttle plate spring but assuring it closes. I spent a lot of time on this - 2 lousy junky 1bbs would work better but would not make the power and economy of the 400 cfm Carter 4bbl on the 4bbl offy manifold. I do have a Clifford Cthulhu super long ram originally copy. :-) bet that won't even start in the cool temps - the runners are so long. Thanks for the good words.
