The purpose of focus stacking is so you don't have to stop down, which lowers the resolution by diffraction. Also at f16 the required exposure would have been so slow that hand holding would have been impossible. Very sharp and detailed in places. Shouldn't you have stopped down a bit more, e.g. f16?
