My Grandfather John(Pat) Miller owned this place. The help were all family. I have many happy memories working there every summer. Batting Cage beside the bowling alley, Ferris Wheel, The strikers, dart board, swat the fly, cork guns, tin Pan Alley, Candy Floss, Fish Pond, and Ring Toss. Kiddie Land had the rides. There was Airplanes, boats, Cars, Tubs of fun and a 2 horse merry go round. The beach back then was raked bright and early every morning.

I remember coming here as a child in the early 60's with mom and dad. The Coca Cola sign on the 2nd floor also says:(above) Beach Alleys, and (below) Bowling. There used to be six or eight 5-pin bowling lanes on the street level if I recall. They also sold beach paraphernalia. The old wooden building smelled like a cottage and sun tan lotion, and the floors creaked loudly with every step. How they ever managed to keep the bowling lanes from warping(or maybe they didn't)in the humid air, I don't know. Follow the arrows to Miller's Kiddie Land around back. There were pony rides and a couple of small car carousels. Under the Miller's sign you can see three listed attractions: candy floss(at front corner), fish pond (in the middle), and ring toss to the rear right. Candy floss speaks for itself. Flavour choices were pure sugar : pink or blue. At the fish pond you would hold a 2' rod with a 2' string and bent spike attached, and attempt to "hook" a floating metal fish as it went by in a circular moat - same style as a floating sushi bar today. Turn the fish over and win the corresponding prize written underneath. I didn't go on the ferris wheel because I thought it might come unhinged and I would go rolling away like a loose inner tube bouncing down the street, causing my mother untold terror. To the left of the candy floss was a conical-shaped ball toss gallery where you would try to hit the center target hard enough to sound a buzzer and win a prize. I don't recall anyone ever winning anything there... Hmmm. And the Mayflies,or fishflies as we called them - squish, squish ... don't get me started.
