Tezcuco Plantation

This is from my archives in 2001. This lovely small plantation home was destroyed by a fire a few years later.

I was shocked by the news that Tezcuco was destroyed by fire. My wife, Cynthia, and I loved the house so much when we visited some years ago, that we recreated Tezcuco right here in Oswego, IL in 2005. The motto for our house is "Wurde inspiert durch Tezcoco" or "inspired by Tezcuco". I will email pics later.

A beautiful, somehow delicate photo, Chris. The pano crop really works well.

This was formerly owned by the Adjutant General of Louisiana, General O.J. Daigle who served under three governors. He restored the house and built a chapel on the grounds etc. His wife had the most amazing collection of Newcomb Pottery. They left so much of the antiques in the house when they sold it and it all burned.
His daughter married the man who manages Oak Alley and she has brought a lot of expertise to Oak Alley.

Very nice shot, Chris. It was one of my favorite houses.
