We counted 21 chicks in this group, of which about half are in the shade of a mesquite tree in this picture. This shot was taken through the (dirty) windows of our dining rooom.

wow how fun to have them that close! you know I don't think I've ever seen quail chicks other than running quickly away following mom or dad.. great shot!

What a wonderful shot. I've never seen quail chicks before. Love the way the two in the middle are looking in opposite directions. You have such fabulous wildlife in your yard.
