Nirvan - I landed up spending a long time at the hospital today while my husband was being admitted. I took along your book "Trip Back" knowing it was going to be a long haul. I only got to read the first chapter, but was blown away - and am so looking forward to having a lovely book to peruse.

for 16 years now since encountering her work at the redmond farmer's market, i've had two of ms. hope's photographs on my desk, one a closeup of a stone in a river with striking blades of green grass near it, the other a long shot of distant mountains in late afternoon light between two tall cedars. both very much a transposition of high formalism to photography. perennially stunning work.

A Beautiful Sunny Saturday today, October 22, [ 2016 ]
While at the Redmond Farmers market I bought two of Nivan Hope's Photo prints already framed. When I look at one it brings a sense calm and peace. When I look at the other - it makes me smile with Joy as it is a picture of my favorite bird, the Humming bird - in a nest! Thanks Nivan ~ Victoria

Love that quote from Walt Whitman.
If you've a quiet moment to fill (??), you might care to read "Dark Emu" by Bruce Pascoe. 'Tis an eye-opening and well-documented account of how the Aborigines lived - every Australian should read it, but also with more discursive later chapters that provide an Aboriginal version of Walt's wisdom.

I like your eye for composition, colour and simplicity, all in the one image. And the galleries flow from one image to the next, so smoothly. As one other person wrote - "sumptuous".

You should perhaps get rid of the disclaimer Nirvan. The images I see here are very good, and some are really top notch..
