The 155mm Paladin is the standard SPH of the US Army, and a number of nations around the world. The basic M109 has been around since the early 60's, the Paladin was developed during the 90's, and is still a very effective weapon. It was supposed to be replaced by the Crusader, which was cancelled, so it will be in service for a while to come.
