A Spiritual Defect
I offer my apology to anyone offended by this picture, but I am angry. It is well known
that elk are concentrated in Boxley Valley, but there are those who simply will not slow down, even if it leads to this. Speed kills, and it killed this beautiful animal. Taking 3 more minutes travelling the length of the valley was probably all that was required to prevent this. Is it too much to ask?

Big Bulls in the Gloom
The last few days have been real tough in the valley, bad light, few elk, and lots of fog in the morning. This was shot across a field in low light and light fog. These big guys are the dominant animals that fight each year for the control of the largest herd in the Boxley Valley. This is about a 50% crop. #4791
