Sozopol

Sozopol is the oldest town on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast line. It used to be called Apolonia. The city was renamed Sozopol with the beginning of Christianity. The name means "City of Redemption" after the name of Apolon the Saviour, who's name it used to carry.

I've been here four times, and love it every year. It's such a beautiful town, everything is perfect. I recommend the Old Town, it's much more traditional.

I've been there 20 years ago and can not recognize single house. I can only remember sun, great warm and shallow sea, transparent medusas, beach with sand that was not sand but tiny pieces of shells, delicious 'sladoled' and strange soft drinks served from small cabin on the street, little fishes thrown into flavour, fried and served with a slice of delicious bread. It was really great holiday there in Sozopol and I want to return at least once.

How beautifull these pictures are!when I saw these pictures ,I really want to go there.I am imaging that I am lying on the beaches,I am enjoying the sunbath and swimming in the blue sea...It is so exciting. Wait me.I will go there someday.

Celiat vi sait e chudesen,razbira se nai-veche galerijata za nashata Bulgaria!Mnogo obicham da patuvam,bilo slujebno ili s prosto hei taka,po prijaten povod i da snimam vsichko po putja si.A samata galerija za Sozopol e OTLICNA ! Rabotil sum njakolko sezona tam i smeja da tvurdja,che dori vuzduha na tova mjasto e nasiten s neveroiatna magija.Chovek moje da se zabravi tam.Redovno namiram povod s prijateli i kolegi da otskochim do Sozopol.A snimkite predstaveni tuk nosjat edno kum edno duhat na Sozopol,tova sus sigurnost moga da go potvurdja!Bravo g-n Gruev !
