Prevlaka protects the mouth of Kotor Bay. The fortress had been off limits since the end of WW2, and the JNA hadn't been keeping the place up. I went there from Dubrovnik with two Unprofor officers, one a Norwegian and one Swiss. One reason we went there was because a Russian jeep had failed to start on an earlier trip and had to be left behind. I lifted the hood of the odd-looking jeep and was shocked to see what was essentially a 1942 Dodge....I fooled with the wiring until I got a spark and then fired it up. When we passed the Chetniks at the checkpoint back to Dubrovnik they cheered at the sight of the jeep. I got the impression they'd tried to start it up themselves.
