The UN helps out with plastic jugs

The population of Sarajevo was grateful for any help they got. They are amazingly patient people. But they could see the irony in the UN supplying them with plastic jugs so they could go to dangerous water queus and risk dying from artillery shells. This father and daughter were getting water from a truck which was delivering to the hospital. It was dangerous because the hospital was often shelled. My father was a doctor in WW2 and when I told him the Serbs were shelling hospitals he said he didn't believe me. "Even at the end of WW2 the Germans respected the medical corps," he said. "Are you trying to tell me the Serbs are worse than the Germans?"

Chetnics were worse than Germans, that is for sure - they were worse than Germans during WW2 too !!! Their "organization" actually started during WW2 as they were remnants of Serbian army that capitulated and made peace pact with Hitler under than Serbian King Pavle Karadzordjevic (March 25th, 1941)They would come into Croat and Muslim villages and kill everybody with preferred method of "slashing the throats open" instead of using guns (as Germans did) and that was the method they used even during THIS war whenever there was opportunity for such brutality ....And yes, they still think they are "superior" in every way on the Balkan's territory - is there need to say more ...

I want here to make distinction between Chetnics and Serbs ! Although all Chetnics are Serbs, not all Serbs are Chetnics !!!! Far from it !!!!

the Germans ironicly believed that they were superior and purer and higher.. what the serbs had in mind was so little, they did it all with little mind and dirty hands.. at least this is the feeling in my humble mind..
thanks again for the image and the pharagraph...
