The aurora can be spectacular. This is my second attempt at photographing it, the first being a total disaster. The snow in the foreground is reddish-yellow from the city streetlights.
I kind of looked up at this particular aurora and decided to shoot it with the 15mm fisheye. The snow is colored by the sodium vapor lights along the street.
The exposure was 30 seconds at f4. I bracket a lot on this sort of thing.
