We stopped at a store in town
and walked maybe 20 feet from the truck
when we heard something odd behind us.
Someone in a van drove into the back bumper of our truck.
We were a little surprised, but everyone was okay.
A little old lady with a cane got out a surveyed the damage.
We started out a little terse but it got worked out.
She just had a moment. We all have them.
We visited a bit and she left it at..
"It's why we paid for the great insurance for all those years."
I have to go with it was pretty minor but it could have been worse.
Hope she has an understanding husband... It was his van.

Looks minor but we have to replace a few parts
and get some electronics checked.
Nothing is cheap any more...
The bent hitch step took the brunt of it.
That's why it's there.
