Days of The Red Sun and Moon

Smoke from fires in British Columbia with a stationary high pumping it to the south
for the last few weeks along with high temps have made most of us appreciate onshore flow!
That is until we get to winter and the Pineapple Express brings an
unending atmospheric river of tropical moisture with lots of rain, snow, and flooding.
The in between times are pretty good though…

Pretty stunning shot, though sobering about the wildfires in BC. Nevertheless, this is a riveting image. V

Boughs --- not bows. Sometimes I really don't need any spelling help from the computer...

Cool timing and capture to catch the Sun cradled in the bows of this tree.

A dramatic image. Really like the way the fiery sun seems to be resting on the branches. Very well composed. "V"

I don't understand what all that means, but this is a really cool shot. V.

This is a startling and beautiful sight. Your description of atmospheric conditions are impressive. I'm glad that I lucked out in my two visits to hit "pretty good" photo conditions

a fine capture John, and so accurate and atmospheric a portrayal of current conditions...cool how the solar disc is cupped by the branches...the word up here is that a low pressure system moving in over the weekend could well initiate the end of the smoky skies...hopefully that would bring a beneficial change to your skies and air as well..
