Firewood The Hard Way

They will tell you it’s 5 or 6 or 7 cords for $560.
It will be a cord or two short of whatever they tell you.
They drop it in your driveway and laugh as
they drive off because you have to do all the work.
You will need...
Chainsaw
Ax
Maul
Wedges
Power splitter
Truck or trailer or wheelbarrows.
Gloves, boots, goggles or glasses,
and other safety equipment.
Lots of time!
A strong back and
weak mind.
Then you have to move it somewhere and stack it.
Keep it dry - wait 2 years - Hope no one steals it or
an escaped firework doesn’t land on it.
All this in the middle of a giant tree farm!
Also known as the Olympic Peninsula.
Doing it yourself isn’t what it once was!

That is a LOT of firewood and work.
I would help, of course, but I have
a dentist appointment that day.
