I don’t think Frank knew these characters!
This guy was living off the land! Starting somewhere in New Mexico
he had walked/rode across Arizona; southern Nevada and he had
just come out of the Death Valley area. He was out along
California’s 395 and thinking about heading closer
into the eastern Sierra. This is his life!
I don’t envy that kind of freedom!
(yes he needed a bath, but his animals were well cared for)
