20050528 / Long Weekend

Marina State Beach, CA

My lazy long weekend started Thursday afternoon. Two
surf sessions and three sunsets later, it's only half
gone. You never know when it's going to end. Lap it up
while you can.

I see images like this, and again marvel at the decisions of my life that have put me in such a landlocked enviroment. I love the water, and desert and mountains....but am surrounded by flat farm land. Thank you for wonderful images like this!

Fantastic caption. Those waves the lower ones appear almost as if they are not even touching the sand. The sand appears dry beneath them and it looks like as if that wave is a blanket folding over that ground. The other one the top one only adds to the feel of movement. Long weekends usually go by to fast. Very nice another voting image to me.
