These 2 old friends have been "mates" for over 50 years when Dick was posted to
his first school. We were celebrating Dick's (our) old friend's 88th birthday
and here you see his youngest daughter lighting his candles on the home-made pavlova
while the Dick we all know is busy chatting to the son-in-law (out of the picture).
Both of the old friends bear the name Richard (or Dick as they are known in Oz), and
are often referred to as Big and Little! The daughter is an artist/librarian.
