Flowering Gum

Eucalyptus ficifolia

And a similar cluster of blooms in colour

This and others grow on the side of our road. We have a couple, but both of ours
are an insipid salmon colour, which looks fine on a rose but is lost in a tree
as sturdy as a ficifolia. I had to keep my ears peeled listening for fast moving cars
while taking these photos.
