Epiphyllum oxypetalum, which only opens at night...I missed seeing it open!
Apparently you have to set your alarm to remind you at about 9 p.m. it is
fully extended and puts out a wonderful perfume to match its charms.

A dear mentor gardening friend sent me the cuttings quite a few years ago, and this
is the first year it has flowered for me - 2 blooms, they would have opened
together. The plant itself is in a hanging basket in a tall tree and reaches 2 metres high
and cascading as well, a huge plant and the bloom is huge too.. this is
the bloom the morning afterwards.
