Born at Zelazowa, Wola about thirty miles from Warsaw Poland in 1810 & died in Paris in 1849 aged thirty-nine he was the poet of the piano. I have selected this Prelude for you to hear, it is the first piece our son plays on our piano when he visits Australia.
