Surajkund, is 8 km from Delhi and it is the hottest destination for a family outing or
crafts aficinados. An Annual festival held in February, to avoid the Delhi summer heat,
it serves as a center for hundreds of artists and craftsmen to come and showcase their wares.
Saris, pashmina shawls, pottery, Tanjore paintings, Kashmiri crafts, Jewels, Ornaments, Food,
everything one would want to experience in India. There are street performers, dancers, singers
and even acrobatic acts. People throng in thousands to see the different activities and the crafts. Each year, a theme is set, usually highlighting one of the states.
