This was taken at the Meenakshi Temple in Pearland, near Houston, Texas. Houston has a huge Indian
population and this temple is one of the prettiest I've seen outside of India. In most Indian
temples, in South India especially, you will see peacocks. So it was very nice to see a whole bunch
of them in Houston. If you are visiting make sure you plan a trip to the temple. It is worth it.

The colors of the peacock are just so beautiful. I don't think I've seen any artificial color that
matches this.
