This is one of the best of the gallery, I think. The monkey is nicely isolated from the background with both light and focus, and there is enough front light for some facial detail. The focus is a bit soft. From your bird images the lens seems capable of more detail. Is this handheld? I don't see any sharpening artifact so there might be some room for more sharpening. This is a really good one.
