I have a 1956 Lincoln Premiere, good restoration car/project. I can send more details and pics if you or anyone is interested in this car. It's pretty much all there, minus the back window and there is a bullet hole in the roll up window behind the driver's seat. The car is parked on my farm about 30 miles from I-10 and Lordsburg, New Mexico.

Zack, it sounds like you have one of the most sought Lincolns of 1956 with the amythest and white interior. My Lincoln Premiere has amythest and starmist white exterior, but with a chocolate brown and white interior. Elvis Presley had the same interior as yours with the amythest and white exterior. The amythest color on the exterior bottom is an interesting paint as it shades from pink to lavender depending on the sunlight.

im a fan of this 56 lincoln.i have a 56 in my garage at this time, and im hopes to get it painted soon.i have put all my overtime into making the car run.i believe my auto started out pink in color,as the inside is pink, white and black.however its blue and white now.any direction will help me set it as an orginal.i want it to look like it came from the factory.drop me a line anytime,zachfinch8@hotmail.com. its a 2 door hardtop.has all pieces in the trunk,in boxes.

Wow! I am most appreciative of your kudos and thankful for you sharing all of this. I, too prefer the old cars in their original state. Unfortunately so many have changed out engines and put in air conditioning and newer (better) brakes, etc., etc. On the other hand I spent a lot of time in the late 50's and early '60's at Lion's Drag strip and other SoCal drag strips so I also enjoy early muscle. I love the early cars when design and art was supreme. So many of the newer cars have absolutely no class IMHO.

Ken, your digital photos and the interesting angles you choose are....as the song states..... "simply the best......better than all the rest!!!" Anyone who remembers and loves classic cars of the 1930's, 1940's, 1950's, and 1960's will enjoy your photo galleries. I view those cars as works of art, and so are your digital photgraphs of them. I fondly remember as a child in the early and mid fifties going with my father to see the new models when they came out. Every year they changed. I remember the spotlight that lit the sky, the turntables with the latest hardtop or convertible in the hottest new colors....tutone, sometimes tri-tone, and all that sparkling chrome!!!! Your photo galleries bring back fond memories. Health issues and a lack of funds prevent me from traveling and going to car shows. Thanks for bringing them to me instead. I chose this photogragh for comment because I think the 1956 Lincoln was the best looking Lincoln ever made. You never see these cars anymore. I also love the angle at which you made this photograph. I love your closeup of grilles and other detail features like hood ornaments and other trim that you simply do not see on automobiles anymore because they are cost prohibitive to do. I also like that you choose to photgraph cars that are stock; that is to say, like they left the factory and showroom. I respect those who like rods and customs, but I am a purist at heart and prefer to see them stock. Would love to see more photos of independents like Nash, Kaiser, and Studebaker, and Chrysler cars from the Keller era of 1946 thru 1954, and the Virgil Exner years of 1955 through 1961 instead of the muscle car era. Thanks again for making it possible for guys like me to relive fond memories and see these cars brought to life again by your excellent photography. No one can touch you or even come close. You're the best!!!!!!!
