The program mode on the M3 is amazingly random sometimes. I can't understand for the life of me why it would choose ISO3200 and 1/500 for a landscape shot with the camera resting on a post. I often use P on other pocket cameras when I am taking quick shots, but I can not suggest the M3 for someone who is a program shooter. It's just way too random. Even the SOnyA7 which forces 1/60 second on EVERYTHING is a better option. I also suspect I may have actually been in program and did a program shift in to f6.3, and the camera decided to stick with 1/500 and up the iso instead of lower shutter speed.
In this day and age you would think some halfway decent photographer would test the lens sharpness and apertures on a few lenses and just program them in to the bodies so these things would work halfway decent. The only camera I have ever used that was good at it was a buds LX100 which has manual control all over the body, but once placed in to auto mode just fuckin nails the exposures right every time. Fuck it, I might sell this m3 and go with the lx100 as my pocket camera.
