Every year the Discovery Bay Yacht Club (DBYC)hosts a number of boating events and parades through the sloughs of Discovery Bay. In the summer the Discovery Bay Yacht Club Splashers hosts the Slow Boat Poker Run an all day event which raises money for local Charities. The Holiday Lighted Boat Parade is always a community favorite both for the boaters and for the hundreds of gatherings and parties that watch the parade from their decks and docks. April brings the DBYC Opening Day Parade with theme decorated boats of all sizes winding thoughout Discovery Bay on their way to a big party at the club house...
